The Taproot of the Heart with Christina Sell
What if spiritual practice served, not as means of protecting us from fear, loss, or difficulty, but as a means by which we stay connected to a source of strength, clarity and Love in the midst of our human lives? What if, instead of assuming practice, prayer, and spirituality can spare us from suffering, we worked to develop our capacity to offer tenderness, compassion, and love to the places inside ourselves and our relationships that are hurting? Living into these "what if's" is a life's work with no quick-fixes, easy answers, or trite promises. Join Christina Sell for a 3-part series of short talks, journal assignments, simple breath practices, and asanas to support your personal inquiry and authentic unfolding. All-levels of asana practitioners are welcome.
September 5: Acknowledging Suffering

Move beyond modern self-help claims into a radical relationship with life as it is where spirituality aims to alleviate suffering by offering us a greater capacity for honesty, loving responses, and a relief from the sometimes-insidious notion that pain means we are doing something wrong.
